Five Major Contributions
S.No.Major Contribution
1 1. Accomplished district level land use planning of Jorhat, Assam under rainfed ecosystem by developing land management unit and decision support system towards alternate land use planning at 1: 50,000 scale. 2. Watershed level land use planning has been accomplished in Diring-Thanglong watershed in Assam under hills and forest ecosystem (at 1: 12,500 scale) with drainage morphometric analysis and the watershed was grouped into 9 priority zone for integrated land use planning. 3. Methodology of block level land resource inventory was established at 1: 10,000 scale in Brahmaputra valley ecosystem of Assam using geo-spatial techniques. 4. Soil nutrient mapping (9 parameters) of Nagaland was accomplished at 1: 50,000 scale at district and block levels.
